These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of sunfinder.ai (the "Site"), published by Jean-Nicolas Laurent Josi ("we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What the Site does

SunFinder ranks travel destinations by expected sunshine, using weather forecasts and historical climate data. It is an information and inspiration tool. It does not sell flights, hotels or any travel product.

2. Forecasts are not guarantees

Weather forecasts are inherently uncertain, and uncertainty grows with the forecast horizon. Sun scores, rankings and climate averages are statistical estimates derived from third-party data (Open-Meteo). They may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. You use them at your own risk. Always check official weather services and local conditions before booking or travelling. We accept no liability for any loss, cost or disappointment arising from reliance on the Site, including cancelled or disrupted trips.

3. Affiliate links

The Site contains links to third-party booking sites (flights, hotels, activities, insurance). Some are affiliate links: if you click and book, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We are not a party to any booking you make. Prices, availability, terms and customer service are the responsibility of the third-party provider.

4. Intellectual property

The Site, its scoring methodology, rankings, texts, code and design are our property or used under licence. SunFinder® is a registered trademark. Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo.com under the CC BY 4.0 licence. You may view and share links to the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other reproduction, republication or commercial use of our content or rankings requires our prior written consent.

5. Acceptable use

You must not: (a) scrape, crawl, mirror or bulk-download the Site or its data by automated means, other than search engines indexing public pages; (b) call our internal APIs or endpoints other than through normal use of the Site in a browser; (c) use the Site to build a competing dataset or service; (d) attempt to circumvent rate limits, security or access controls; (e) use the Site in any unlawful way. We may block access without notice to anyone who breaches this section.

6. Availability and changes

The Site is provided "as is". We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to EUR 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any right you have as a consumer under Belgian or EU law.

8. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. The courts of Brussels have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
